About the Role:
As a Primary SEN Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to primary school students with Special Educational Needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with teachers and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students in various subjects and activities.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Monitoring and recording students' progress and behavior.
- Assisting with personal care and physical support as required.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive and proactive attitude.
