Role Overview: As a PSHE Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and support to secondary-aged students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside managing some behaviour challenges. Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering engaging PSHE lessons, fostering a supportive learning environment, and providing pastoral care to students.
Key Requirements:
- Full-time Commitment: This position requires full-time availability, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Experience with SEMH & Challenging Behaviour: Previous experience working with students with SEMH and managing challenging behaviour is essential.
- DBS Clearance: All applicants must have a valid DBS clearance on the update service or be willing to obtain one before starting the role.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver PSHE lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.
- Support students in developing essential life skills, emotional literacy, and resilience.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, fostering their social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure the holistic development and well-being of students.
