Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Design & Technology Teacher to join our team and contribute to the educational excellence in Leighton Buzzard. As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, fostering creativity, and developing students' practical skills in design and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, ensuring a varied and stimulating learning experience.
- Student Engagement: Foster a passion for design and technology, encouraging students to explore and express their creativity through hands-on projects.
- Practical Skills: Develop and enhance students' practical skills in areas such as woodworking, metalworking, electronics, and graphic design.
- Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the department and school.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience teaching Design & Technology in UK schools.
- In-depth knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment processes.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Passion for fostering creativity and practical skills in students.
