Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team at a Secondary School located in Slough. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 months of experience teaching within the UK education system, with a strong passion for music education and a commitment to fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of secondary school students.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance students' musical skills, knowledge, and appreciation.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to actively participate and explore their musical talents.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their musical development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, performances, and events.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about current trends and developments in music education, incorporating new technologies and resources into teaching practice when appropriate.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience teaching music within a secondary school setting in the UK.
- Strong subject knowledge and expertise in music theory, composition, performance, and music technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Dedication to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality within the classroom and school community.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to participate in training and workshops.
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, or willingness to undergo the necessary checks.
