Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team at a Secondary School located in Slough. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 months of experience teaching within the UK education system, with a strong passion for music education and a commitment to fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of secondary school students.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance students' musical skills, knowledge, and appreciation.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to actively participate and explore their musical talents.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their musical development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, performances, and events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed about current trends and developments in music education, incorporating new technologies and resources into teaching practice when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience teaching music within a secondary school setting in the UK.
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in music theory, composition, performance, and music technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Dedication to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality within the classroom and school community.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to participate in training and workshops.
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, or willingness to undergo the necessary checks.
