SEMH Teacher
Location: Hertfordshire
Contract type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEMH Teacher to join our team in Hertfordshire. As a SEMH Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering inspiring and motivating classes to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The successful candidate will have excellent behaviour management skills, and an understanding of the reasons behind behaviour, and should follow a trauma-informed practice.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to SEMH students
- Develop individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each student
- Monitor and assess student's progress regularly, and provide feedback to parents and senior staff
- Create a positive and safe learning environment that promotes the emotional well-being of students
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant field
- Completion of a teaching training course, ideally with QTS
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Understanding of the reasons behind behaviour and trauma-informed practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
ECTs will be considered for this position.
