We are currently recruiting a passionate SEN Learning Mentor for a specialist secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) that offers long-stay placements for young people aged 11 to 19 with a range of learning difficulties and challenging behaviors.

Role Overview: As a dedicated SEN Learning Mentor, your primary responsibility will be to support and develop students within a specialist secondary PRU. In this dynamic role, you will work with young people who present a range of learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. Your mission is to ensure their happiness and contentment at school while supporting them to achieve their best potential. This position is not only challenging but also incredibly rewarding, and you will be an essential part of a fun and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment within the PRU.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement tailored strategies for student success.
  • Support students in both academic and personal development.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with students to overcome barriers to learning.

About You: To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Essential: Proficiency in Maths, English, and basic IT skills.
  • Advantageous: Previous experience in a school or SEN setting.
  • Critical: The right attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Physical and mental fitness to meet the demands of challenging and energetic students.

Must Haves:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Immediate availability to start.
  • Full-time commitment.
