SEN Teacher/Tutor

Job Description

Dunbar Education Recruitment Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher/Tutor to join our team. This position will primarily focus on Key Stage 4 pupils, aiding them in acquiring functional skills qualifications. The successful candidate will work within a secondary independent school setting, catering to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored educational support to Key Stage 4 pupils with SEN/ASC.
  • Implementing strategies and techniques to facilitate the acquisition of functional skills qualifications.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • Adhering to school policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare and safety of pupils at all times.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with SEN/ASC pupils in a UK educational setting.
  • Familiarity with Key Stage 4 curriculum and functional skills qualifications.
  • DBS clearance on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Access to own vehicle for commuting purposes.
  • Full-time availability during term time.
