SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working in a care or support worker background? Dunbar Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as SEN Teaching Assistants to support local schools in Milton Keynes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEN.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide additional support tailored to their individual needs.
  • Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Implement strategies and interventions outlined in individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable.
  • Experience in a care or support worker background is advantageous.
  • A compassionate and patient nature.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
