Dunbar Education are currently working with a Special School near Sawbridgeworth who support pupils aged 5 to 19 yrs. We are currently helping them recruit an enthusiastic and energetic SEN Teaching Assistant to work with their fantastic young people. The post is to work full-time Monday to Friday (8am-4pm, term time only).

You will play a crucial role in supporting young people with a range of complex needs, including neurological conditions potentially caused or complicated by epilepsy. The school is part of a charity run organisation and teaches both on-site residential and day pupils.

This is a great opportunity to join a special school that has aims to help young people grow in confidence and support their independence, health and self-esteem. A variety of specialist teams work together to map out provisions to meet the needs of individual pupils. There is a holistic approach to learning as teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, nurses and care staff collaborate in a consistent team effort

Experience of working with young people who have complex needs would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided. The right attitude and commitment to supporting young people with additional needs is the priority!
