Are you a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) looking for an exciting new opportunity?

We have exclusive roles available for SENCOs in Hemel Hempstead's primary schools. This is a full-time position starting in September, offering competitive pay based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for special educational needs provision within the school.
  • Oversee the identification, assessment, and support of students with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective support for students with SEN.
  • Lead and support staff in implementing effective strategies to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision and make necessary adjustments.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a SENCO or in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusive education and meeting the diverse needs of students.
