Job Description

Job Title: SEND Assistant Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent Salary: £89 - £94 per day

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a dedicated and caring SEND Assistant to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting Students: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND in various educational settings.

  2. Assessment: Assist in assessing the individual needs and progress of students, contributing to the development of tailored learning plans.

  3. Inclusive Learning: Promote inclusive learning practices and create an environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

  4. Behavior Management: Implement behavior management strategies and support students in developing positive behavior and social skills.

  5. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' education.

  6. Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of student progress and any incidents or challenges encountered.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND is highly desirable.
  • A patient and compassionate nature with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in various educational settings.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields are a plus.
