Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Dunbar Education is currently seeking a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will be working with children with a range of special educational needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the teacher in the planning and delivery of lessons
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Creating and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and reporting this to the teacher
  • Liaising with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of relevant learning difficulties and disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • A relevant qualification in education or child development would be desirable
