Dunbar Education is seeking a skilled and experienced Speech and Language Specialist to join our team in Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will work in a SEN school setting, providing specialist support to children with speech, language and communication needs.
Responsibilities:
* Assessing and diagnosing speech, language and communication needs of students * Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students * Delivering therapy and interventions to students with varying levels of need * Monitoring and evaluating progress of students and adjusting interventions accordingly * Collaborating with teachers, parents and other professionals to support students' overall development
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field * Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial * Strong knowledge of speech and language development and communication disorders * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * An understanding of the needs of children with SEN and the ability to tailor interventions accordingly * DBS check required, or willingness to obtain one
