Position: Qualified Sports Teacher (Specialising in Netball)



Location: Prestigious Prep School for Girls, High Wycombe

The Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Sports Teacher with a strong specialism in netball. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the sports department, inspiring and coaching pupils to achieve their full potential in sports, with a particular focus on netball.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality PE lessons across various sports disciplines, with a significant emphasis on netball.
  • Develop and implement engaging netball coaching sessions for all skill levels, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for all pupils.
  • Organise and oversee netball fixtures, tournaments, and events, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork.
  • Monitor and track pupils' progress in sports, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their personal and athletic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall sports curriculum and contribute to the development of the school's sports programs.
  • Promote the importance of physical activity, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle within the school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a specialism in Physical Education.
  • Extensive experience and proven expertise in netball coaching and development.
  • A strong track record of successfully teaching and coaching netball at various levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Current First Aid and safeguarding certifications are desirable.
