Requirements: To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Music or a related field.
- Extensive experience teaching Music, preferably at the secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Music department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Develop and implement an engaging and inclusive Music curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Mentor and support music teachers, fostering their professional development.
- Organize and coordinate performances, concerts, and other music-related events.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate music into cross-curricular activities.
- Contribute to the school's extracurricular music programs and initiatives.
