Requirements: To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Music or a related field.
  • Extensive experience teaching Music, preferably at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Music department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Develop and implement an engaging and inclusive Music curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Mentor and support music teachers, fostering their professional development.
  • Organize and coordinate performances, concerts, and other music-related events.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate music into cross-curricular activities.
  • Contribute to the school's extracurricular music programs and initiatives.
