About the Role:

Dunbar Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join this academy. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality English curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring and engaging students with creative and effective teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing targeted support where necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and the school's academic goals.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure continuous improvement.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) (preferred) and a relevant degree (essential).
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level; applications from ECTs are also warmly welcomed.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
