Position: Teacher of Music

Dunbar Education is delighted to be recruiting for a Teacher of Music on behalf of a dynamic and innovative 11-18 mixed academy in Milton Keynes. This academy, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, offers excellent equipment and facilities, providing an ideal environment for both teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Music across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop and deliver inspiring, high-quality lessons that foster a love for Music.
  • Assess, track, and provide feedback on student progress.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Music curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental and whole school CPD.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to support student learning.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK (or equivalent).
  • Degree in Music or a related subject.
  • Ability to teach Music at KS3 to KS5 - applications from both ECTs or more experienced colleagues are both warmly welcomed.
  • Passionate about teaching and inspiring young people.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
