Role Overview: We are looking for high-caliber teachers of Science who are eager for a new and exciting opportunity. As a Teacher of Science, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education to students, fostering a passion for the subject and promoting academic excellence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective science lessons, catering to the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to inspire students and enhance their understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching approaches and resources.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to further enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Induction and Support: As part of your induction into the Academy, you will receive comprehensive support through a program of induction, training, and coaching. This ensures that you continue to develop as a teacher and have the tools necessary to thrive in your role.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in Science or a related field.
  • Ability to teach Science at the secondary level, with a commitment to fostering a love for the subject and promoting academic excellence. Applications from ECTs or more experienced colleagues are both welcomed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • A passion for teaching and a desire to contribute to the overall success and ethos of the academy.
