Role Overview: We are looking for high-caliber teachers of Science who are eager for a new and exciting opportunity. As a Teacher of Science, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education to students, fostering a passion for the subject and promoting academic excellence. From the moment you join, you will be welcomed and supported by an experienced and diverse team wholly focused on teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective science lessons, catering to the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to inspire students and enhance their understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching approaches and resources.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to further enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Induction and Support: As part of your induction into the Academy, you will receive comprehensive support through a program of induction, training, and coaching. This ensures that you continue to develop as a teacher and have the tools necessary to thrive in your role.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in Science or a related field.
  • Ability to teach Science at the secondary level, with a commitment to fostering a love for the subject and promoting academic excellence. Applications from ECTs or more experienced colleagues are both welcomed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • A passion for teaching and a desire to contribute to the overall success and ethos of the academy.
