About the Role:
- Subject: Science (Physics or Chemistry specialism preferred)
- Levels: General Science to KS3/4, Subject Specialism at KS5
- Start Date: September 2024 (or as soon as possible)
- Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons within your specialism across the age-range.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
Opportunities for Career Progression: For suitably qualified candidates, there is an exciting opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as either a Head of Physics or Head of Science, leading within your curriculum area.
Requirements:
- A degree in Science, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Science at GCSE (essential) and A-Level (preferred); applications from both ECTs and more experienced colleagues will both be considered.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young minds.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
