About the Role:

  • Subject: Science (Physics or Chemistry specialism preferred)
  • Levels: General Science to KS3/4, Subject Specialism at KS5
  • Start Date: September 2024 (or as soon as possible)
  • Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons within your specialism across the age-range.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.

Opportunities for Career Progression: For suitably qualified candidates, there is an exciting opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as either a Head of Physics or Head of Science, leading within your curriculum area.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Science, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Science at GCSE (essential) and A-Level (preferred); applications from both ECTs and more experienced colleagues will both be considered.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young minds.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
