This role offers flexibility, with both part-time (minimum 0.6 FTE) and full-time positions available, allowing you to contribute significantly to the school's Science department.
About the Role:
- Position: Teacher of Science (Biology or Chemistry Specialism Preferred)
- Levels: Key Stages 3-5
- Start Date: September 2024 (or as soon as possible)
- Contract Type: Part-Time (0.6 FTE minimum) or Full-Time
- Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons, ideally specializing in Biology or Chemistry, to students across Key Stages 3-5.
- Develop and implement engaging and challenging curriculum plans.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Science.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress and development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular Science activities and events.
Requirements:
- A degree in a Science subject or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level; applications from both ECTs and more experienced colleagues are welcomed.
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology or Chemistry and a passion for Science education.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
