If your answer is yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you to become an SEN Teaching Assistant in Bedford.

Role and Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will assume a pivotal role in providing support and aid to students with Special Educational Needs within our partner school community. Your duties will encompass:

  • Working closely alongside the class teacher and SENCO to put into action learning plans designed for students with SEN.
  • Supplying one-on-one or small group assistance to students during lessons, enabling them to access the curriculum and attain their educational objectives.
  • Creating a welcoming and all-encompassing learning atmosphere that fosters the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
  • Aiding in classroom activities, including the preparation of materials and resources to facilitate tailored learning experiences.
  • Collaborating with other professionals, parents, and caregivers to ensure effective communication and comprehensive support for students with SEN.
  • Monitoring and documenting students' progress and accomplishments and furnishing feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:

  • Having experience working with students having Special Educational Needs is highly preferable.
  • Demonstrating strong empathy, patience, and an authentic dedication to enhancing students' well-being and advancement.
  • Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Exhibiting flexibility and adaptability to respond to the varied requirements of students in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Embracing a positive and forward-thinking outlook, coupled with the ability to take initiative and contribute to a cooperative team environment.
