Teaching Assistant - Autism Support

Role and Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to students with Special Educational Needs within our partner school community. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans designed for students with SEN.
- Offering one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons, enabling them to access the curriculum and achieve their educational goals.
- Creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
- Assisting in classroom activities, including the preparation of materials and resources to facilitate personalized learning experiences.
- Working in coordination with other professionals, parents, and caregivers to ensure effective communication and comprehensive support for students with SEN.
- Monitoring and documenting students' progress and achievements and providing feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with students with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable.
- Demonstrating strong empathy, patience, and a sincere commitment to enhancing students' well-being and progress.
- Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and families.
- Exhibiting flexibility and adaptability to respond to the diverse needs of students in a dynamic educational environment.
- Embracing a positive and forward-thinking mindset, along with the ability to take initiative and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
