Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant Level 2 to work on a 1:1 basis with a student who requires additional support. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience of our students and promoting an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to a specific student with special educational needs.
- Assist the class teacher in developing and delivering tailored learning plans.
- Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the student to encourage their progress.
- Collaborate with other staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and document the student's progress and behavior.
- Accompany the student during educational activities and outings.
- Contribute to the development of educational materials and resources.
Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
- Proven experience in a similar role, particularly on a 1:1 basis.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges of students with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student needs.
- Empathy, patience, and a passion for making a positive impact on students' lives.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
