Dunbar Education is currently seeking empathetic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants, specialising in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours within Hemel Hempstead primary schools. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and SENCOs to implement individualized education plans.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Promote emotional well-being and social development among students.
- Utilise psychological insights to support behaviour management strategies.
- Assist in the development and adaptation of learning materials.
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports.
Qualifications:
- A recent graduate with a degree in Psychology or a related field.
- A genuine desire to work with children and contribute to their well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong empathy and patience to work with students facing behavioural challenges.
- The ability to adapt to dynamic classroom situations.
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required.
