Teaching Assistant - supporting challenging behaviour

We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in Hemel Hempstead, supporting students with challenging behaviour on a full-time basis.

Position: Teaching Assistant for Challenging Behaviour Support

Job Type: Full-time, Long-term/Permanent

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or group support to students with challenging behaviour, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions as directed by the class teacher or SENCo.
  • Promote positive behaviour and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Support students academically, assisting with their learning activities and progress monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with students with challenging behaviour (previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable).
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
