Key Responsibilities:
- Behaviour Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them develop positive strategies and coping mechanisms.
- Mentoring: Build positive relationships with students, offering guidance, and helping them make better choices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, staff, and parents to create and implement behaviour support plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of behaviour interventions and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or certifications in behaviour support or related fields is a plus.
- Empathy: A strong ability to empathize with students and understand the underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- DBS Check: A valid DBS check or the ability to obtain one.
