Position Overview: Our partner school is in search of a dedicated and skilled Behavior Support Mentor to work closely with their students, who may face challenging behavior issues. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners by providing tailored support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one behavior support and mentoring to students within the school.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective behavior support plans.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Offer guidance and support to students in various settings, both within and outside the classroom.
- Attend training and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Proven experience in behavior support or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of behavior management principles and strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students.
