About Us: Dunbar Education is working with a fantastic school committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Support Mentor to join the team in Dunstable.

Job Description: As a Behavior Support Mentor, you will play a crucial role in helping students with behavioral challenges succeed in their educational journey. You will work closely with teachers, students and parents/carers to implement strategies that promote positive behavior and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or group support to students with behavioral difficulties.
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans in collaboration with teaching staff.
  • Monitor and document student progress and behavior.
  • Offer guidance and emotional support to students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive network for students.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills in behavior support.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with students with behavioral challenges is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of behavior management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (subject to successful application).
