We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join a small and unique school located in Upminster. This position is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with a particular encouragement for ECTs to apply.

The Music department is small but vibrant, and we value the important role music plays in our students' education. As the Music Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students in various musical activities, including instrumental instruction, choir, and performances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive music lessons to students of all abilities
  • Foster a love and appreciation for music through creative and interactive teaching methods
  • Provide instrumental instruction and lead musical ensembles, such as choir or band
  • Organize and participate in school-wide music events and performances
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the music curriculum

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialization in Music or a related field
  • Passion for music education and a commitment to inspiring students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
