Role Overview: As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will play a vital role in promoting the well-being and personal development of our students. You will work closely with the pastoral team to provide guidance, support, and intervention to students facing various challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building positive relationships with students and providing a supportive ear for those in need.
- Identifying and addressing the individual needs of students, including academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement personalized support plans.
- Leading group workshops and interventions to promote resilience, mental health awareness, and positive behavior.
- Monitoring and tracking the progress and well-being of students, and providing regular feedback to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their personal development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Experience working in a similar role within a school or youth-focused setting is desirable but not essential.
- A relevant qualification in counseling, social work, education, or a related field is advantageous.
