Dunbar Education is currently recruiting for an experienced primary teacher to provide effective intervention within a primary based in Northampton as of September.

Job Overview:
The Primary School Intervention Teacher will be responsible for identifying students who need additional support, designing and implementing intervention programs, and working closely with classroom teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed. This role is crucial in helping students overcome learning barriers and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Intervention Plans: Create and implement individualised and group intervention plans tailored to the specific needs of students.
- Deliver Targeted Instruction: Provide high-quality instruction and support in small groups or one-on-one settings, focusing on areas such as literacy, numeracy, and other key subjects.
- Monitor and Assess Progress: Regularly track and report on pupils' progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to ensure effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and school leadership to coordinate support and share best practices.
- Engage with Parents: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress and ways to support learning at home.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in intervention strategies and education.
Qualifications:
- Education: QTS.
- Certification: Valid teaching certification/license appropriate for primary education.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, particularly working with pupils who have diverse learning needs.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of intervention strategies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
