Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEN, ensuring their progress and development.
- Create and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students, setting appropriate targets and monitoring their achievements.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and parents, to support students' learning and well-being.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate students with SEN.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through regular observation, assessments, and feedback.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on students' progress and achievements.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of different special educational needs and appropriate teaching strategies.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
