Support Worker

Job Description

Are you a Support Worker looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience working with children and a passion for education? We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join multiple primary schools in Milton Keynes as a Teaching Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to all students
  • Providing pastoral and academic support to individual children and small groups as needed
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies and supporting children to manage their emotions and behaviours
  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure the smooth running of the school

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a support worker role
  • A passion for education and a desire to work in a primary school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and young people

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEND needs or SEMH needs
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
