We are seeking an outstanding, inspirational, and committed Teacher of Computing to join an expanding school community. With the opening of a new sixth form in September 2024, this is an exciting time to join a dynamic team.

Role Overview: We are looking for an excellent teacher with experience in delivering engaging GCSE and 'A' level teaching to join our Computing department. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing our students for the challenges of higher education and beyond. As part of the school's commitment to digital innovation, they are rolling out a 1:1 Chromebook program, providing an exciting opportunity to develop digital applications across all aspects of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Computing lessons, engaging students and fostering a love for the subject.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and 'A' level examinations, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and digital resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Contribute to the development of digital applications across the school curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall aims and objectives of the school.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (preferred) and relevant academic qualifications in Computing or a related field (essential).
  • Experience delivering GCSE and 'A' level teaching, with a track record of academic success.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student achievement and well-being.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of digital applications and a willingness to embrace new technologies in the classroom.
  • Right to work in the UK
