Are you a passionate and innovative educator with expertise in IT and Computing? Dunbar Education is seeking a dynamic Teacher of IT and Computing to join a thriving 11-18 mixed academy in Northampton. This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' digital literacy and computing skills.

About the Role:

  • Position: Teacher of IT and Computing
  • Levels: Key Stages 3-5
  • Start Date: September 2024 (or as soon as possible)
  • Contract Type: Full-Time
  • Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective IT and Computing lessons to students across Key Stages 3-5.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that fosters students' understanding of IT and Computing principles.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop their digital skills and explore computing technologies.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress and development.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular clubs and activities related to IT and Computing.

Requirements:

  • A degree in IT, Computing, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching IT and Computing at secondary level; applications from both ECTs and more experienced colleagues are both warmly welcomed.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for technology and computing education.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
