Job Title: Year 1 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover with Potential for Permanent Position)

Location: Watford, Hertfordshire

Term: Maternity Cover (January onwards), with the possibility of extension to a permanent position

About Us: Dunbar Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a distinguished primary school in Watford. Our partner school is dedicated to providing an enriching learning environment and is seeking a dynamic and committed Year 1 Class Teacher to join their team.

Position Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to cover a maternity leave in Year 1 classes, starting in September. The successful candidate will contribute to the school's commitment to fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere that supports the academic and personal development of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and stimulating learning environment that promotes academic growth and well-being.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the school community to contribute to the overall success of the Key Stage 1 department.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
  • Familiarity with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning.

Maternity Cover and Potential for Permanent Position: This is initially a maternity cover position, starting in September. However, outstanding candidates may be considered for a permanent position based on performance and the school's staffing needs.
